Library's Pennsylvania Room located at the
Reading Main Library's second floor, 100
South 5th Street, Reading, PA 19602.
The Pennsylvania Room hours are as follows:
Mon: CLOSED
Tues & Wed: 4:00 PM to
7:00 PM
Thurs & Fri: 1:00 PM
to 4:00 PM
Sat:
12:00 PM to 3:00 PM

The Pennsylvania Room of the Reading Public
Library is a treasure trove of local history
and genealogy for Reading and Berks County.
We have Reading imprints from local
publishers, family histories, church
histories, and historical information on the
city and surrounding towns.
City directories from 1856 until the present
and high school yearbooks are among our most
popular items. None of the materials may be
checked out but they may be used, and in
many cases photocopied, during the
Pennsylvania Room hours posted above. The
room is staffed by friendly, helpful, and
knowledgeable people and we invite you to
visit us to learn more about our wonderful
area.
