Foundation Center Partner Collection
In
cooperation with the Foundation Center in
New York City, the Reading Public Library
has been designated as an affiliated
Foundation Center Collection that assists
local nonprofit organizations in identifying
sources of grants and foundation funding.
Government Documents Collection
The Reading Public Library has been a
selective depository of government documents
for the 6th U.S. Congressional District
since 1901. Professional library staff
select government publications that are
known or believed to be useful to the
general public, and to special interest
groups such as students and business people.
Since 1996, electronic records of many
documents have been downloaded into the ALIN
system, making government publications as
accessible to the public as other library
materials through the online catalog. The
Goverment Printing Office also makes some
documents available via the Internet through
GPO Access.
Reference Materials Collection
Our Reference
Library contains a large assortment of
up-to-date materials, including
Dictionaries, Encyclopedias, Historical
materials, Phone books, Local, State, and
Federal Documents, Legal texts, College

various information for businesses and
government needs. Also, our top-notch staff
can assist you with your research questions
and point you in the right direction to get
the information you need.
