Gives you to access thousands of full text periodical articles, newspapers, a major encyclopedia, plus photographs, pictures, charts, maps, reference materials for young people and more.  You will find materials of interest in most subject areas for all age groups from young children to adults.

Access Pennsylvania Database
Web-based bibliographic union catalog and resource sharing guide to all Pennsylvania libraries.

AP Multimedia Archive More than 500,000 current and historical photographs and graphics that can be searched by date, location, and/or subject.

Ancestry Library Genealogy database offering hundreds of resources on researching one’s family history, including such items as federal census records, passenger ship manifests, and other documents.  Access to this database is restricted to library use only (no remote access).

Art Online Provides critiques and explanations of thousands of art pieces in all media as well as biographical information on specific artists.
 
Auto Repair Reference Center
Offers repair information for vehicles dating from 1945 to the present.

booksinprint.com logo Bibliographic tool used to learn information on books, videos, and audio materials, BIP covers millions of titles and authors. Access to this database is restricted to library use only (no remote access).

Biography Reference Bank Periodical coverage of life histories of contemporary individuals, which works in tandem with Biography Index and similar databases.

Business Source Premier Scholarly business journals (over 1,100 of them) are provided in this database, full-text.

Children's Technology Review helps parents, librarians and teachers find quality interactive media and technology products for children. The review covers new and noteworthy children's products for a variety of platforms, such as websites, videogames, toys, and educational software. 

Contemporary Authors
A biographical and bibliographical guide to modern writers across all venues—fiction, nonfiction, poetry, drama, television, and motion pictures.

DartClix Provides access to professional selected, catalogued websites.

Discoverer Full-text articles and images from over 1,600 domestic and international newspapers, magazines, and government documents are available through this database.

EBSCO Animals Provides in-depth information on a variety of animal-themed topics.

EBSCOhost Dozens of research-driven databases comprise EBSCO Host, all of which direct the user to full-text as well as abstract-only articles from thousands of magazines and newspapers.

EBSCOhost Español Features databases in the Spanish language.

ERIC Educational resource information center featuring over 2,000 educational serials.

Facts For Learning Provides younger students with core reference resources.

Funk & Wagnall's New World Encyclopedia Over 25,000 encyclopedic entries covering a wide variety of subjects are presented here.

Health Source: Nursing/Academic Scholarly full-text articles focusing on the medical disciplines are provided here.

Health Source Plus: Consumer Food science, nutrition, child care, and sports medicine are examples of topics featured in this database.

Lit Finder Poems, short stories, and works of literary criticism are available at LitFinder.

MAS Online Plus Indexing, abstracting, and full-text articles to over 1,000 general interest magazines.

Master File Premier Featuring general reference publications to nearly 2,000 magazines, this database features periodical literature dating as far back as 1975.

Middle Search Plus Junior high school magazines for research purposes are available here.

Music Online Singers, musicians, and composers are brought to life, with full explorations of their compositions and biographies.

netLibrary A collection of electronic book titles.

Newspaper Source Hundreds of newspapers from across the country are accessible via this database.

NoveList K-8 and Novelist These databases offer hundreds of thousands of full-text books, both fiction and non-fiction, for readers from kindergarten through adult.

Oxford Reference Online A comprehensive resource for multiple academic disciplines, Oxford features general reference, science, the arts, and much more.

This tool provides access to both study texts as well as practice tests for dozens of standardized exams, including GED, SAT, and civil service exams. (Sponsored by the Reading Public Library)

Professional Development Collection Aimed at professional educators, this database features almost 600 peer-reviewed serial titles.

Clinical Pharmacology An advanced database divulging data on pharmaceuticals and related topics.

Primary Search Full-text access to 60 full-text publications geared toward elementary students.

Reading Eagle Archives
A research tool which enables the user to search the entire text of the Reading Eagle newspaper from October of 1989 to the present.  This database is not available for home access and may be utilized only at the Main Library of the Reading Public Library.

ReferenceUSA Logo A nationwide compendium of business and residential listings, with company profile information available on most business listings.  This database is not available for home access.

Regional Business News Another business-oriented resource which allows the user to learn the latest statistics and news about prominent employers across the country.

Searchasaurus A friendly, colorful, graphics-driven search interface geared toward children.
